frequently asked questions

What makes the TAKO Fitness Mat different from a regular yoga mat?

The Tako Fitness Mat is a multifunctional, 12 mm-thick mat created for yoga, Pilates, sculpt, strength training, stretching, and other floor-based workouts. Its foldable design also allows you to use it as additional support for your knees, wrists, back, or seated exercises.

What is the surface of the mat made from?

The mat features a high-grade polyurethane, or PU, top surface over a supportive foam base. PU provides a smooth, premium feel with reliable grip and is easier to wipe clean than many porous fabric or foam surfaces.

How do I clean and care for my Tako Fitness Mat?

After each workout, wipe the PU surface with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry completely before folding or storing it. For a deeper clean, use a small amount of mild soap diluted with water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive sponges, and soaking the mat, as these may damage its surface.

What exercises can I do with the yoga mat?

You can use it for yoga, Pilates, sculpt, HIIT, strength training, stretching, mobility, meditation, and other floor-based workouts. Its foldable design can also provide extra support for your knees, wrists, back, or seated exercises. You can also explore guided exercises in our free Tako Movement Library.
